A Voice of Faith. A Champion for Peace. A Fighter for the People.
Pastor Anthony Williams is not your typical candidate. He’s a man of the cloth, a father, a community healer—and a tireless advocate for peace and justice. After losing his beloved son, Nehemiah, to senseless gun violence, Pastor Williams transformed his grief into a statewide and national mission. He walked from Chicago to Washington, D.C., calling on our nation’s leaders to treat violence not just as a crime—but as a public health epidemic.
From the pulpit to the statehouse, Pastor Williams led the charge for Illinois’ landmark House Bill 158, which formally declared violence a public health crisis and secured $59 million for trauma-informed mental health services and community safety programs.
Today, Pastor Williams is running for the U.S. Senate to carry that fight to Washington—because every family deserves peace, dignity, and a future. Whether in Chicago, Cairo, or Carbondale, he believes civility, justice, and hope must become national policy—not empty promises.
